Industrial Communications Engineer

As a Senior Industrial communications Engineer, you will get hands-on experience with a technological startup environment and learn the newest technologies based on IoT to communicate with third-party platforms and different gateways with the Bamboo cloud platform. You will homologate new hardware to be connected to our customer's facilities and participate actively in the design and implementation of new hardware devices to our platform. You will manage the connectivity team in Bamboo.

What will you do at Bamboo?

• Supervise and manage the connectivity team to customize software applications, develop software modules, or specify it to a provider to meet specific integration requirements. This may involve writing scripts, creating, or specifying APIs, or using middleware tools.


• Supervise and manage the connectivity team to conduct thorough testing and quality assurance processes to identify and resolve any integration issues, bugs, or performance bottlenecks. This may include load testing, stress testing, and compatibility testing.


• Supervise and manage the connectivity team for creating detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, integration procedures, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.


• Supervise and manage the connectivity team for monitoring and maintaining integrated systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users or internal teams as needed.


• Supervise and manage the connectivity team for testing new hardware to connect to Bamboo platform. Analysis of the network, communications, electrical schemes, and devices datasheets of sites to be integrated.


• Design and implement connectivity roadmap with the product manager and head of technology development.


• Support the development team to enhance the scalability and security of the Bamboo platform

Essential:

• Bachelor or master’s in electrical engineering, Industrial Electronics and Automatic Control, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science or similar


• More than 5 years experience with communications and automation systems


• More than 2 years experience in electrical and network schemes and programming (Python, Node-RED)


• Project Management skills

Advantageous:

• Knowledge of network infrastructure, Linux distributions, git, and docker.


• Experience in participation in collaborative projects.


• Experience in smart meters and other hardware devices on smart grids

• Spanish
